THE WHAT? Unilever Sri Lanka is aiming to empower its work force through its Discover your Purpose workshops, offering it to all 1000 employees. 

THE DETAILS The workshops, extended to blue collar workers in its factories, are said to help employees to find their purpose, which is said to positively impact people both personally and professionally.

THE WHY? Created as part of Unilever’s Global Compass Strategy – ‘Companies with purpose last’, ‘Brands with purpose grow’ and ‘People with purpose thrive,’ the workshops are part of the company’s commitment to people and promoting wellbeing in the workplace. 

Ananya Sabharwal, Director – Human Resources at Unilever Sri Lanka said, “At Unilever, our aim is to have each talent’s career, development plan and leadership style powered by their individual purpose. A sense of purpose not only makes getting through the pandemic a smoother journey, but countless studies also show its link to better wellbeing.”

They are typically administered by trained healthcare professionals such as dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and specialized nurses in clinical settings. These products aim to provide effective solutions for cosmetic enhancement, skin rejuvenation, and overall aesthetic improvement, contributing to both physical appearance and self-confidence.

Key categories of aesthetic medicine products include:

  • Injectables: This category includes products such as dermal fillers, botulinum toxins (e.g., Botox), and collagen stimulators. These injectables are used to smooth wrinkles, add volume, and improve facial contours.

  • Skin Rejuvenation Treatments: Products like chemical peels, microdermabrasion systems, and laser devices are used to improve skin texture, reduce pigmentation irregularities, and enhance overall skin tone.
